Re: A word of warning
If you're using Firefox, download Adblock Plus, it's the most commonly-used Firefox extension so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Google Chrome users have an ad-block extension but I'm not familiar with it, sadly. Opera also has an ad-block extension that I'm not familiar with, but for Opera, the right-click "Block Element" should work fine; you'd just have to do that a lot. If you're running Safari or Internet Explorer, then lol good luck.

This AdBlocker extension for chrome works for me for blocking these ads. And they can also block those stupid preroll advertisements on YouTube!

Re: A word of warning
Ignoring any possible arrogance and self-righteousness coming from the previous message (which probably stems from my personal belief that WebKit is a terrible basis for anything, really, and Google Chrome is a terrible excuse for an open-source browser), AdBlock Plus, I'm told, also blocks pre-roll YouTube advertisements (I can't verify this), and there's an Opera extension that does the same. Sadly, neither of them work for Dailymotion, but that's completely irrelevant to the current discussion.
With Google Chrome, you should use the AdBlocker Soccerryle described above.
With Mozilla Firefox, feel free to use AdBlock Plus. (As I've noted before, it's not necessary to point a link to it because it's one of the most used extensions in Firefox.)
With Opera, due to lack of care towards the browser, there's no single surefire solution (which is sad), but a mixture of the right-click Block Elements menu, the AdSweep extension, and YouTube AdsFree should be enough to block nearly everything. I don't personally use that combination but it should still work, regardless.
Thanks for reading this incredibly long discussion, and I hope it allows you to navigate your favorite websites (like LoD) ads-free and care-free.
