Signs: (I forget some, and pokemon can be used on certain ones)
Pitstop: Where the racers go to finish the leg of the race, that last person here could get eliminated.
U-Turn: Where teams can make other teams do both sides of a detour.
Detour: A split decision where teams choose to do one of the two tasks to continue on the race.
Roadblock: A Roadblock is a task that only one team member may perform
Fast Forward:
Express Pass: Not an actual sign but one team may win it in a leg of the race and use it to skip one task completely and continue on the race by handing it to the clue holder
Clue/Cluebox: Take only one per team, contains details on your next destination or task where that's what the teams will have to do.


Rules of the race: (So you can see what is and what isn't a penalty, some are copied and pasted)
1: Use pokemon when challenge allows you to do so, adding on you must stay on foot unless traveling on sea where you can use a pokemon or a boat, and no flying through the race unless it's by plane or helicopter so no hitching rides on pokemon to travel around faster unless otherwise stated so.
2: No Smoking or Drinking Alcohol during the Races
3: Teams are forbidden contact with friends, family, and acquaintances during the Race.
4. Teams are free to work together at any point unless otherwise stated by the rules.Excluding the use of the U-Turn, teams are forbidden from intentionally or unintentionally hindering the performance of other teams such as by taking extra clues from a clue box, taking another team's assigned vehicle, or altering the equipment for other teams at a task.
5:Teams are forbidden from bringing their own maps, guidebooks, cell phones, personal digital assistants and other similar aids at the start of the Race, but may use the provided money to purchase these as they progress during the race. These may be provided by the show if required for a certain task. Teams are not allowed to use their personal items to barter for services on the race, though they are not necessarily forbidden from selling their personal items for cash. The teams' bags may be subject to review during Pit Stops by production.
6: In cases where teams are instructed to walk or drive themselves to a destination, they are not allowed to hire a taxi to guide or take them through the route. In early seasons of the American series, teams frequently employed the tactic of hiring taxis while later seasons saw less of this. Several dialogues in season 17 of the American series explicitly stated such tactic as not allowed in the rules.
7: Teams are expected to keep the Race fanny pack containing their cash, passports and other documents with them at all times. Teams that do not have these upon check-in at a Pit Stop are required to go back and get the fanny pack and/or any missing mandatory contents (e.g., passports) before being checked in. However, not having other non-mandatory items while checking in at the pit stop is not penalized, but the team would have to continue the race without these belongings.
8: Teams must complete each challenge as specified by the various clues given to them throughout the Race. Should a team fail to properly complete a challenge, violate any provisions made in a clue or task description, or miss a clue altogether (unless specifically instructed to do so, e.g., by winning the Fast Forward, by using an Express Pass), they must either go back to the location of the challenge and complete the challenge, or incur a penalty when they check-in.

Promotion for the Fan Fic that will start some time soon, some characters sprites were edited from existing ones like Prof. Oak's and you can probably guess which teams are which.

(Might type Biographies and such later, 7 or in the story Chris Talmeth is the host and travels ahead of the racers, how? He is Hawaiian of course. I call the money a lot of stuff so don't let that confuse you, also the manga and anime are mixed into the story.)

Chapter One: Pallet Town
Camera shows plenty of landmarks, different locations, and multiple pokemon than zooms in on Chris as he starts the introduction of the first season ever of the Amazing Race.

"Hello everybody out there I'm Chris Talmeth, the host for a show about rivalry, teamwork, overcoming challenges, action, and suspense in a race around the world for 1,000,000. Introducing the Teams by their names and their team colors.... Lindsay and Blitz, a Married Couple from Kanto. Tim and Jack, Best Friends from Letope. Kevin and Quan, Brothers From Sinnoh. Nicole and Henry, Students Dating at Unova University College from obviously Hoenn. Lisa and Tate, Twin Sibling Gym Leaders from Hoenn. Chili and Cress, Brother Gym Leaders from Unova. Roark and Byron, Father and Son Gym Leaders from Sinnoh. Sam and Gary, Grandpa and Grandson from Kanto. Barry and Palmer, Son and Father from Sinnoh. Clair and Lance, Cousins and the only team from Johto. Volkner and Flint, Best Friends from Sinnoh. Bill and Celio, Friends as well as PC Storage Systems Creators from Kanto.



"Well teams are you ready for a race across the world for a million?" Chris says as the teams roar with Yeah! Whooo! And Some Applause Chris smiles than replies "Here is your fannypacks which contain 1000 munny, your passports, and space for items and clues as you are racing. To get your first clue.... you have to look inside of a 'Red Box'. Good luck teams" This clue however throws a lot of the teams off "Red Box?" Roark asks as Chris merely nods. "Come one dad, let's look around Pallet town" Barry says as Palmer starts gazing around. Gary however knows that is the name of one of the residents at Pallet Town who used to be champion until they mysteriously disappeared and never returned back home "Gramps I know what it means..." Gary says as Sam Oak shakes his head "This has to be a riddle so think hard Gary..." Sam says as Gary ignores him and walks down a little bit and arrives at Red's House and opens the mailbox than walks straight back to his Grandpa and says "Gramps here's the clue" Sam looks and exclaims "Gary how did you manage to find it that quickly?!" as all the other teams than stop after hearing this "Gary facepalms his face and says "Just talk for the remainder of the race don't yell out like that ever again" Sam than agrees to be less stubborn as they read their clue "Make your way to Viridian City's Sign where you'll find your next clue.

Everyone else is searching for their first clue

"Tim let's go door to door asking the locals where the Red Box could be" Jack suggest as the go one by one while some other teams have different approaches as by looking for an actual red box. "Do you know where a red box is?" Tim asks a more elderly woman as she answers "I know where the Champion Red lives, he live's two houses down from mine" she says as Tim replies "Thanks?" and walks down her porch and sees Jack doing the same "Find the Red Box yet Tim?" Jack asks as Tim shakes his head "Only where some guy Red lives" as Jack says "Wait... Red? Like the color? What if the clue has something to do with him and not the color!?" Jack exclaims but not quite as loud as Sam was "I don't know let's check" Tim says running over to two houses down and knocking on the door "Why hello there, are you two looking for Red?" the lady says as they nod "Sorry to disappoint you but he's been gone for a while, he became the champion and just disappeared. He hasn't written back or anything" she says as Tim and Jack ask "Do you know where a Red Box is?" the lady's eye stare at them "You mean the mailbox which Red wrote his name on as his house?" she says pointing towards the mailbox as the duo rush over and see's "Red's House" Jack eagerly opens the mailbox and grabs a yellow envelope "Hey that's my mail" she yells as they explain "We're on a show called the 'Amazing Race' and they put the clues in your mailbox so sorry about the confusion" they said as she sighed "Oh, I'll route on for you than" she said as Jack said "Thanks" and ripped open the envelope "Make your way to Viridian City's Sign where you'll find your next clue" they said running off out of town. "Lindsay and Blitz were nearby while this happened and rushed over to the still open mailbox. "That was easier than I thought" Lindsay said as Blitz replied "We could have other teams just show us the way and solve the clues for us than we'll over take them to win that million for sure" and with that ran off as the other teams saw the open mail box and swarmed it for the clue

"Gramps here's the next clue box!" Gary shouts as Sam rushes over and grabs the clue "Teams find your way to the local store and hand him this the contents of this envelope for your next clue".

Chris Talmeth appears in a clip explaining the next task "Teams now must deliver the gold and silver coins to the store manager to recieve two boxes of tea and their next clue, than they'll have to deliver it to Daisy Oak's Cafe/Massage Parlor back in Pallet Town to receive thier next clue."

"Come on Gramps" Gary says as they rush over to the store and give him the coins as he takes out the boxes of tea and gives them to Gary and Sam "Gary, these boxes are pretty heavy" Sam says as Gary rereads the clue and says "Well the clue doesn't say we can't use pokemon to lift the boxes so... Machamp carry these boxes will you?" he says tossing the pokeball as Machamp simply picks them up each with one hand "Now back to Pallet Town" They say as they run along side Machamp and run right by Tim and Jack... than past Blitz and Lindsay... than soon all the other teams run by "Oh no! We can't lose our lead already! Come on Gary!" Sam yells as Gary shouts "Oh now you're running fast?" as he runs to catch up. Pretty soon the store is full of people and pokemon as some pokemon hold the boxes while flying and others hold them while running however Lisa and Tate used Hypno to Levitate the boxes but one team however flew along with their pokemon "Whoa Clair looks like the other teams won't be catching up with us" Lance says as his Dragonite speeds through the air while carrying the boxes and Clair asks "Lance isn't it against the rules to use our pokemon?" as Lance says "Unless otherwise stated, they didn't say we couldn't use Dragonite for this task and besides look at the other teams down their, they are doing the same as us so we'll be fine" Lance says as this is definately not fine.

"NO!!!" Lance and Clair just got ahead of us and got the lead!" Sam said as Gary looks up "Damn it, we won't let them keep it that's for sure. Come on Machamp almost there!" Gary shouts as they continue running through the streets of Pallet Town. "Daisy?" Lance asks as she nods and Lance picks up the boxes and lays them inside her house "Here is your next clue" Daisy said handing them and envelope and a Oran Berry Plant in a vase.

(Note: Blue doesn't equal Gary, Red doesn't equal Ash, Daisy is Gary's Cousin and Blue's Sister, Blue is the Gym Leader of Viridian City)

A clip of Chris shows up again explaining the task "In this task team members either take a boat, swim, or ride a pokemon to Cinnibar Island. The Island was one of the most sucessful research facilities in the pokemon world, until a massive volcano emerged and wiped everything off except the pokemon center for some reason. Your task is to plant these Oran Berry plants to promote others to plant as well as to bring Cinnibar Island back to the way it was before the devastating eruption. After you plant the tree on the top of the non-active volcano go to the herbiologist outside where you'll recieve your next clue".

"Let's use Dragonair to surf across since flying isn't allowed in this leg" Clair said as she summon Dragonair from it's pokeball and jumped aboard holding the oran berry sproutling. "Gary, Lance and Clair are getting away!" Sam yelled holding the plant as Gary shouted "Oh no they don't, Gyrados we have to beat them!" Gary shouted as he and Sam jumped aboard and started racing rapidly towards Cinnibar Island.

The other teams really didn't have much difficulty delivering the tea but Surfing was a problem for some, so some teams rode on a ferry set up near Pallet town for 300 a person which resulted in teams Pink, Light Blue, Orange, Red, and Brown to lose 600 dollars taking the ferry while others had access to surfing pokemon like Team White's Snorlax, Team Black's Corphish and Tentacruel, Team Grey's Slowbro and Slowking, Team Dark Blue uses Simipour and Frillish, and Team Green use Empoleon.

Olive Green and Yellow are neck and neck but Yellow still has the penalty so Olive green is first and Yellow is second.
The teams that left on pokemon are clustered for a couple places.
The teams that are on ferries have to wait 12 minutes for the next departure so they are last.

"Come on Lance!" Clair says jumping off Dragonair than returning it to it's pokeball a she handed Lance the Oran sproutling as they ran to the only building and saw a few shovels and some watering cans as well as fertilizer "Gary Go! You can still catch up with Lance!" Sam says handing Gary the plant as he gets off the Gyrados "They look neck and neck" Tim says as Sam and Clair are suprised that they've caught up considerably fast but soon see all the teams heading towards Cinnibar Island including the ones who boarded the ferry "There goes our lead" Clair says frowning as Lance is now watering the plant and runs back to the herbiologist "Yes" she says as she hands Lance the next clue. He than runs over back to Clair where they open the clue and begin reading. "Make your way to the seafoam islands, this is the pit stop for this leg of the race. The last team will be eliminated!" They look at each other than Clair shouts "Let's go Lance!" as they start running towards eastern Cinnibar coast.

A clip of Chris shows up once more "Seafoam Islands, home to the Legendary Ice Bird Pokemon Articuno and home to Cinnibar's current Gym this will be the pit stop for this leg of the race. The last team to check in... Will be eliminated!" he says as the screen cuts back to Gary, Jack, and Lindsay getting the clues and racing towards the coast than surfing towards the Seafoam Islands "Come on Snorlax go!" Tim shouts as Snorlax does pretty well to keep the pace up but soon other teams are seen following pursuit but Team Red lags a bit behind forgetting to water and fertilize their Oran plant sprout. "We'll never catch up!" Celio shouted as Bill smiled "Not many people think I'm a battler, but they do know I'm a Collector" as he throws a pokeball out and a Mantine comes flying out "Wait you had a Mantine this whole time?" Celio questions as Bill adds "I didn't use it earlier to throw the teams off" as he and Celio jump aboard. Celio is still worried since they are now down 600 poke. All the teams are racing hurriedly as a storm seems to be nearby causing waves and rough winds "Mantine we have to beat the other teams!" Bill shouted as him and Celio were tossed from side to side.

At the head of the pack

"Clair! Straight ahead!" Lance shouts as the both jump off Dragonair but were quickly followed by Sam and Oak, Tim and Jack, Blitz and Lindsay so they didn't have to to chit-chat as they return their pokemon and start running with all their speed inside the cave where Chris stood right next to Blaine, the Fire Gym Leader from Cinnibar who's gym and home was destroyed and who's gym was in this cave. "Sam and Oak.... Blitz and Lindsay.... Clair and Lance..... Tim and Jack.... You are teams 1, 2, 3, and 4!" Chris announces as the teams jump and cheer before Chris says "But Team Yellow, you flew from Viridian City to Pallet Town, that is a penalty as clearly stated in the rules it is forbidden to fly around unless the task calls for it so you'll have to wait a 30 minute penalty while that boost Tim and Jack to Team Three" Chris says as Tim and Jack start cheering once more and Lance and Clair sit on the ground near the entrance to see if any teams might pass them and cause them to be last "Since you were first Team Olive you'll get an all paid vacation to Nimbasa City in the Unova Region" Sam and Oak jump for joy as Chris speaks some more "While Team Yellow is waiting out their penalty you three teams shall get your next one" as he hands each team another envelope and they run out of the cave. (Clue and such revealed in next chapter)

Will the other teams make it through the storm? Will Clair and Lance's penalty get them eliminated? Would they be able to last another 28 minutes without the other 8 teams passing them? Will that give other teams the chance to past them? Who will be the first to be eliminated in this Race around the World? Can

Chris appears for the briefing of the first leg of the race of the Teams Finishing Positions so far after Gary and Sam got first place and Lance and Clair were penalized for flying for transportation during the race. Blaine continues to greet the teams as they check in w ith a big smile but not saying anything.

"Liza and Tate, you are the Tenth Team to Arrive" Chris says as they look disappointed before Tate says "We'll make sure not to hang in the back for very long" and recieving their next clue leave the cave as Clair and Lance have only 7 minutes left of their penalty "Chris, you might as well check us in since Bill and Celio don't have pokemon whatsoever" Clair says as Chris shakes his head "No can do, rules are rules you just have to wait 6 more minutes than you'll be checked in" Chris says looking at his wristwatch as Clair and Lance wondered if and how the Red Team would possibly make it across the ocean and this thunderstorm without a pokemon as very few of the teams were actually reduced to swimming or asking the very few locals at Cinnibar.

Meanwhile with 5 minutes to go Team Red, Bill and Celio are surfing across the water as quickly as they can when they spot the Seafoam Islands straight ahead. "Hope we're not last" Bill says recalling Mantine and running inside with Celio right behind as they see Blaine's face suddenly brighten with a smile as they run to the mat and up to Chris. "Bill and Celio.... I'm very sorry to tell you that you're the last team to arrive...." Chris says as Bill and Celio are really depressed looking as Team Yellow screams for joy but were cut off by Chris "But Team Yellow had a penalty for which they are still here and you arrived 2 minutes before their designated check time occurs so therefore you are technicall Team Number Eleven!" Chris says as Bill and Celio group hug Chris and Blaine as Lance and Clair are really pissed off "WHAT!?" Clair shouts as Bill and Celio get their next clue and run out of the cave.

Team Yellow: Clair and Lance, Cousins and the only team from Johto... have just been eliminated by their penalty in a race around the world.
