What is this Strategy League you speak of??
Welcome to the forums, I'll explain this new league that i created with part of the idea coming from Justin (socceryle). This is has nothing to do with the gyms or elite 4 (mono type leagues), but rather multi type teams that use intense strategy and planning. Instead of focusing on a certain type, the trainer will be proficient in certain single strategies that cripple the opponent from winning. Example would be using confusion or using swagger on a pokemon that has the ability own tempo, using status moves or trick room with a team thats weather based is another example. Theres so many different strategies to win battles rather than brute force or attacks, using ubers/legendaries. This league also is here to open your mind to new possibilities to winning and training, be creative and have fun! Oh and i almost forgot since this league has nothing to do with the gyms or the elite 4 if you are a gym leader or E4 then you can be a strategy leader as well.
This league uses marks to designate its victors. Each leader has a preassigned mark to give to you depending on which thread he/she took over. They are allowed to redesign the mark somewhat (recoloring or change the shape slightly) but the basic overall shape will be consistent. These shapes being Orb (circle), Box (square), Heart, Star, and Pyramid (triangle).
Strategy League Rules:
• There will be no more than 6 trainer strategy experts in the league. If you want to join and theres 6 trainers then a battle will commence between the challenger and leader. The catch is that if you lose you will have to wait 2 days for a grace period. It's recommended that strategy leaders use 6 pokemon to utilize all possibilities, but you have the choice to use less pokemon just make sure the challenger has the same number of pokemon.
The following rules/settings are the standard rules that are to be used in all Strategy League matches. The Strategy Leader may have their own rules, but may leave them at the standard which are the following.
Strategy Standard Rules:
•Match Type: Level 100 (flat battle in black) Doubles Play (unless Strategy Leader says else wise)
•Best of: 1 match 6 Pokémon each (unless Strategy Leader says else wise)
•Sleep Clause: Only two Pokémon on each team may be put to sleep by their opponent at a time. This does not include self-induced sleep techniques such as rest or effects. Once a Pokémon awakes, another or the same one may be put to sleep.
•Freeze Clause: Only two Pokémon on either team may be frozen by their opponent.
•Self KO Clause: If both players are on their last Pokémon, and one player performs a Self KO technique such as Self-Destruct or Explosion, and both players' Pokémon faint as a result, the player that initiated the move will be the loser of the battle. This does not include techniques or items that produce recoil.
•One Hit KO Clause: Any techniques that produce a One Hit KO on the opponent are banned from use. No horn drill, sheer cold, or fissure.
•Uber Clause: You may have no ubers in you're team. This includes ALL legendary pokemon.
•NO Hacked Pokemon: You may not have any ridiculous Pokémon with hacked moves, stats, abilities, or other. Pokesav'd Pokemon with legit stats, legal movesets, and etc are fine.

I'm also interested in trying out for a gym leader spot or an elite member spot with my newly created Electric Team, when can you test me? If I become a Gym Leader or an Elite Member than I'd like some time to come up with a strategy that's unique than I'll try out for this spot, but until than I train my Electric Pokemon to counter whatever fate sends my way.

Is this because that's how the gyms in Jilppagi currently work? >_>
I like the idea to this gym structure more, though. Good job to both of you!
I'll think of making a team for this. It sounds like fun.
