Load TCG set v.1.4

Post by 7 on May 22nd 2011, 1:22 am

I'm going to make a bunch of fake TCG cards for a fake booster pack set called Load. They act similarly to Gym Leader cards from way back whenever, and are designed to be synergistic with cards of the same Gym Leader.
No I'm not going to let you add cards into the booster pack. If you want to, though, you can suggest Pokemon and post your own card in here. I won't be using your own card (especially if it's ridiculously overpowered) but I'll consider adopting aspects of it.

If you're a Gym Leader, please check through the list of Pokemon. If you're not all right with some, please tell me and I'll change it. If you have a ______ as your Pokemon list, please PM me your team and/or what Pokemon you request to fill in the blank.

Dragonartist713 (Lynzee's Dark Mansion)
Note: With head admin lady's gym, I took liberty of changing even not-Dark Pokemon into Dark Pokemon for her owned Pokemon, thus, the Dark Eevee. Significant Pokemon are Umbreon and Rocket's Darkrai (which is part of her section but not really). Lynzee's Gym is great at deck-burning.
Spoiler:
Lynzee's Eevee - 50 HP (Dark)

(Dark) False Swipe - 10
This attack does 10 damage plus an additional 10 damage for every Dark Energy attached to Lynzee's Sneasel that isn't used for this attack's Energy cost. (You can't deal more than 90 damage in this way.)

Lynzee's Weavile - 90 HP (Dark)
Poke-Power: Nasty Plot
Once per turn (before you attack), you may select one Prize card and flip it face-up. This power can't be used if Lynzee's Weavile is affected by a Special Condition.
Attack:
(Colorless/Colorless) Razor Wind - 30x
Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage times the number of Dark Energy cards attached to Lynzee's Weavile. (You can't have more than 60 damage with this attack's effect.)

Flip a coin. If heads, this attack deals no damage, and you draw three cards.
Weakness: Fighting; Resistance: Psychic; Retreat Cost: 1

Rocket's Darkrai - 30 HP (Dark)

Poke-Power: Forewarn
At any time during your turn (before you attack), flip a coin. If heads, draw one card. This power can't be used if Rocket's Darkrai is affected by a Special Condition.
(Colorless) Nightmare Stampede - 10
This attack does 10 damage plus an additional 20 damage for every Rocket's Darkrai in play and an additional 10 damage for every Rocket's Darkrai in the discard pile. (You can't deal more than 30 damage with this attack's effect.)

TheSilentWitch (Violet's Manor of the Dead)
Note: Ghosts are weird in the TCG; they act as Psychic types, along with Poison- and naturally Psychic-types. To mix things up, I messed the types up for most of her Pokemon (intentionally). Violet's cards are mostly aimed at messing with the opponent. Violet's Gym has excellent type coverage!
Spoiler:
Violet's Golett - 60 HP (Fighting)
Attack:
(Psychic) Shadow Punch - 20
No added effect
Weakness: Psychic; Resistance: Electric; Retreat Cost: 2

Violet's Golurk - 120 HP (Fighting)

Attack:
(Colorless/Colorless/Colorless/Colorless) Heavy Slam - 20x
This attack does 20 damage times the number of Fighting or Psychic energy attached to Golurk. (You can't deal more than 120 damage using this attack effect.)
(As a level X card, inherit all traits from Violet's Golurk)
Weakness: Psychic; Resistance: Electric & Fighting; Retreat Cost: 3

Violet's Misdreavus - 50 HP (Psychic)
Attack:
(Colorless) Lick - 10
Flip a coin. If heads, the defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.
(Psychic) Hypnosis - 20
Flip a coin. If heads, the defending Pokemon is now asleep.
Weakness: Psychic; Resistance: Fighting; Retreat Cost: 1

Violet's Mismagius - 100 HP (Dark)
Poke-Body: Dream Weaver
Violet's Mismagius is unaffected by Sleep.
(Psychic/Psychic) Toxic Shock - 30
The defending Pokemon is now Poisoned.
(Psychic/Psychic/Colorless/Colorless) Miserable Wreck - 30
This attack deals an additional 10 damage for every damage counter on Violet's Mismagius.
Weakness: Psychic; Resistance: Fighting; Retreat Cost: 1

BlitzerSephiroth (Blitzer's Poison Sting)
Note: Same reason as above, Psychic-types are weird. Blitzer happens to have the most, though. Blitzer's Gym is geared towards inflicting massive status conditions, as well as being a very good Gym for deck repairing and card revival.
Spoiler:
Blitzer's Croagunk - 40 HP (Fighting)
(Psychic) Poison Jab - 20
Flip a coin. If heads, the defending Pokemon is now Poisoned.
Weakness: Psychic; Resistance: Dark; Retreat Cost: 2

(Fighting/Colorless) Arm Thrust - 20x
Flip three coins. This attack does 20 damage times the number of heads.
Weakness: Psychic; Resistance: Dark; Retreat Cost: 2

Blitzer's Toxicroak LV.X - 120 HP (Fighting)
Poke-Body: Magic Touch
If this Pokemon gets attacked by an opposing Pokemon while this Pokemon is Active, flip two coins. If the first one is heads, the opposing Pokemon is paralyzed; if the second one is heads, the opposing Pokemon is confused; if both coins are heads, the opposing Pokemon is asleep. This effect doesn't work if Blitzer's Toxicroak LV.X is affected by a Special Condition.
(Fighting/Psychic/Colorless/Colorless) Wicked Carnival - 120
Flip three coins. If any of them are heads, the Defending Pokemon is now poisoned. If all three are heads, return up to five cards from the discard pile into your deck, and shuffle your deck afterwards.

You can't use this attack unless the Defending Pokemon is Asleep.
Weakness: Dark; Resistance: Fighting; Retreat Cost: 0

Blitzer's Gengar - 70 HP (Psychic)
Poke-Power: Refuge in Audacity
Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Asleep. If tails, the Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned. This effect can't be used if Blitzer's Gengar is on the bench, or is affected by a Special Condition.
(Psychic/Colorless) Dream Police - 50+
If the Defending Pokemon is Asleep, this attack does 50 damage plus an additional 50 damage, and the Defending Pokemon is cured of its condition.
(Psychic/Psychic/Psychic) Night Crawler - 70x
Flip three coins. This attack does 70 damage times the number of heads.

Jack Kingston (Jack Kingston's Charged Casino)
Jack's Gym is manufactured towards bench-burning, or the act of clearing out benches of Pokemon at a time. It's very intense.
Spoiler:
Jack Kingston's Blitzle - 60HP (Electric)
(energyless) Pound - 10
(Electric/Colorless) Thundershock - 20
Flip a coin. If heads, the defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.

Jack Kingston's Zebstrika LV.X - 150HP (Electric)
(Electric/Electric/Electric/Electric) Shock - 10

(As a level X, inherit all traits from Jack Kingston's Zebstrika)

Jack Kingston's Joltik - 40HP (Electric)

Remove all Electric energy cards attached to Jack Kingston's Galvantula.
Weakness: Fire; Resistance: none; Retreat Cost: 3

Jack Kingston's Rotom - 50HP (Electric)
(Electric/Electric) Thunderbolt - 30
Flip a coin. If heads, the defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.
(Psychic/Electric) Electroconvulsive Therapy - 50
Flip a coin for every Benched Pokemon on the opposing side of the field. For every heads, inflict 10 damage to any Benched Pokemon (without counting Weakness or Resistance).
Weakness: Dark; Resistance: Fighting; Retreat Cost: 2

Mega Ultra Chicken (Chris's Flood)
Chris's Pokemon do the opposite of Jack Kingston's Pokemon; whereas the previous Deck revolved around bench-burning, Chris's Flood revolves around bench-flooding.
Spoiler:
Chris's Totodile - 50HP (Water)

Chris's Croconaw - 70HP (Water)

Chris's Feraligatr - 100HP (Water)

Chris's Feraligatr LV.X - 120HP (Water)

Chris's Mudkip - 60HP (Water)

Chris's Marshtomp - 90HP (Water)

Chris's Swampert - 130HP (Water)

Silver (Robin's Fist Tournament)
Geared around hard-hitting neutral attacks

Snowy Rachel (Rachel's Sub Zero)
Geared around stalling and feeding into Unusual Cloyster and Rachel's Glaceon LV.X

Unusual Cards
Special in that they are usually Evolution cards that are played as Basic cards; also special in that they are different-looking and unusually powerful (only one Unusual card can be in a deck at a time)
Spoiler:
Unusual Cloyster - 180 HP (Water)
Poke-Power: Shell Break
Once during the duration of this card's time in play (during your turn, before you attack), you may half the HP of Unusual Cloyster to reduce the Retreat Cost of Unusual Cloyster to 0 and double all damage dealt by Unusual Cloyster.
Attack:
(Water/Colorless) Icicle Spear - 20x
Flip five coins. This attack does 20 damage times the number of heads.
(Water/Water/Colorless) Icicle Crash - 50

Unusual Magneton - 160 HP (Steel)

Lynzee's Unusual Espeon - 100 HP (Dark)
Poke-Body: Rocket's Hat
LV.X Pokemon are unable to affect Lynzee's Unusual Espeon in any way.
(Dark) Load - 100
Flip a coin. If heads, remove all Energy attached to Lynzee's Unusual Espeon. If tails, this attack does nothing.

Shaychu - 50 HP (???)

Stadiums and other Trainer/Supporter cards
derp
Spoiler:
Variant's Volcano - STADIUM
This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card. If your Fire-type Pokemon attacks a defending Pokemon successfully, add damage to the attack equal to 10 times the number of Fire Energy attached to the Active Pokemon not being used to pay for the chosen attack's Energy cost (unless, by doing so, the attack deals over 150 damage). You may use any card in your hand as a Fire Energy if added to a Variant's Pokemon.

Lynzee's Dark Mansion - STADIUM
This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card. If a Lynzee's Pokemon attacks a defending Pokemon successfully, either draw a card from your Deck, or discard a card at random from your opponent's hand.

Violet's Manor of the Dead - STADIUM
This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card. All Violet's Pokemon are resistant to Psychic-, Dark-, and Grass-type Pokemon. Opposing Pokemon inflicted with the Sleep and Confused conditions must flip two coins to get two Heads instead of one; opposing Pokemon inflicted with the Poisoned and Burned conditions now take double the damage between turns.

Blitzer's Poison Sting - STADIUM
This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card. If a Blitzer's Pokemon attacks a defending Pokemon successfully, you may move three cards from the discard pile into your deck. Shuffle your deck afterwards.

Jack Kingston's Charged Casino - STADIUM
This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card. All Energy cards attached to a Jack Kingston's Pokemon is treated as Electric Energy. If a Jack Kingston's Pokemon attacks a defending Pokemon successfully, flip a coin. If heads, all Pokemon on the opponent's bench are dealt 20 damage (without including Weakness or Resistance).

Chris's Flood - STADIUM
This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card. All Energy cards attached to a Chris's Pokemon is treated as Water Energy. Once per turn, before your attack, flip as many coins as possible until you get tails. Search through your deck for as many Basic or Evolution Pokemon as you have heads, and put them into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

Robin's Fist Tournament - STADIUM
This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card. All damage dealt to a Robin's Pokemon is reduced by 10, and all damage dealt from a Robin's Pokemon is doubled (unless, by doing so, the attack deals over 150 damage).

Rachel's Sub Zero - STADIUM
This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card. If there is an Unusual Cloyster or a Rachel's Pokemon in your bench or as your Active Pokemon, you may attach 1 Water Energy from your hand or deck to that Pokemon. (If chosen from your deck, shuffle your deck afterwards.) This does not count as playing an Energy card for the turn.

Rocket's Gym Search - SUPPORTER
You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack). If there is a Stadium card already in play, this card does nothing. Search your Deck for a Stadium card and play it, then shuffle your deck.

Rocket's Inertia - TRAINER
Remove any Stadium card currently in play. If there is no Stadium card in play, this card does nothing.

Rocket's Secret Weapon - SUPPORTER
Discard all cards from your hand and Bench. Inflict 200 damage to the Active Pokemon. If neither you nor your opponent have any Pokemon in your Bench before this card is activated, this card does nothing.

Inactivity Notice !!! - TRAINER
Discard your hand, then draw 7 cards.

Descent Into Madness - SUPPORTER
This card can only be used if there are no Pokemon in your hand, and only if your opponent has more than one Prize Card left to pick up. Draw cards until you pick up a Basic Pokemon. Your opponent draws a Prize Card.

Trainer's Ascent - SUPPORTER
Flip a coin. If heads, the next attack from your Active Pokemon does double damage; if tails, your turn is over (you don't get to attack).

Lol it's alright but I love how you made or are actually making cards to continue off the previous idea, it's like a win-win.

Also don't worry, you can cover my deck once I become an Elite Member... or even the Champion king

I asked you over Live which one you liked better between Houndoom and Weavile; you said Weavile so I added Weavile and nuked Absol.

Re: Load TCG set v.1.4

Post by 7 on June 1st 2011, 12:35 pm

In light of recent events, I've edited the TCG list to accommodate the Gyms. Elite Four members don't get spots in the TCG list because I have no idea how that'd work right now.

I am so proud of you.

I'm posting in this, I don't care if it's a bump, because I loved this idea.

i like this idea too

to the point i might actually make tangible cards for it if we get a full set together.

a support card might be 'Rocket Trickery' (or something like that) allowing you to search for a stadium card in your deck and play it in place of an active one if there is one

If you do make tangible cards, that would be totally radical and most excellent of excellence.

I will consider adding such a Rocket Trickery card...later.

EDIT: And I did! I totally did. I changed it to Rocket's Gym Search and I might change it to Rocket's Hunting Ground later, but it's essentially the same as whatever you said.

My Pokemon card phrasing might be off, though, because I've been playing a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh! lately.

I also fixed a lot of other things. Eventually I will get closer to finishing.

I was never really a fan of anything past Battle City when it came to the anime. I just enjoy the card game.

Nobody's active here! It truly is a pity. I really liked the members here.

Well, there's Violet, who was sorta kinda from Shaychu, Phoenixian who I don't remember from Shaychu, and Chris, Robin, and Rachel, all of whom I don't think ever really visited Shaychu.

We do need more common Pokemon but as I was making this I was focused on the Pokemon that we had in our Gyms.
